Some of you may have heard of @Nuchtchas. Most of you can’t pronounce it. I know I can’t. Fortunately, she’s a good sport about it and she lets us get away with just calling her Nutty. This is good, as you really don’t want to tick off the Podcast Ninja! if you can help it. She’s been known to pack Nerf. Nutty became known as the Podcast Ninja for her talent to get herself onto other people’s podcasts without having a podcast of her own. As the Galley Table Stowaway, I can appreciate that! Of course, now she’s ended that by starting her own podcast, Nutty Bites! To find out more about all things Nutty (all Nutty things?), check out her blog at http://nimlas.org/.

On Twitter, you’ll find that Nutty lives up to her name. She is friendly, crazy, and good-humored, wether the topic of discussion is the latest video game, podcast drama, geeky ramblings, or the next long road trip that her work has sent her on. Unfortunately, I haven’t been able to wrangle her husband’s Nerf gun modding secrets out of her, but I’m still trying. But if you do choose to follow @Nuchtchas, take the time to send her an @message and tell her why. She likes it when folks do that, and it is a great way to convince her that you’re a real person, just like @Nuchtchas.

I’m sorry about missing the regularly scheduled review last Monday, folks. A family emergency dominated just about all my time for the past week and Scott didn’t have anything ready to go. And the fact that this happened just after we changed over to the new site didn’t help much as we are still getting used to the new workflow on the back end of things. At this point we’re trying to get back up to speed and hopefully we won’t be missing another post. In some ways, I’m actually kind of proud that we’ve managed to go for over a year with the Nifty Tech Blog before having a bobble like this one. But I’m still dedicated to making sure we don’t have this happen again.

I did want to mention that we’ll be starting a new occasional feature under the category Time Wasters. This will be similar to the Personal Stamp articles, in that we’ll be looking at things that aren’t strictly technology related. Time Wasters features will be focused on leisure pursuits, like movies, books, and games, and will be published as we find things worth commenting on. We hope you’ll enjoy it!

It would help if I hadn’t futzed with the comment settings so almost no one could comment… *sigh*

YAY I can finally comment, and say thanks for the awesome write up Doc. You’re great. Also, your #FF posts are great and I really like getting a closer look at tweeps. It even inspired me to not just list people to #FF but to explain why people should follow them, sure I suggest less people, but each suggestion means more, I think.

You are quite welcome! And thank you for your kind words. I am glad that my posts have been inspirational. The idea actually started with TeeMonster, I just took it a little farther. And I agree that the focus makes each recommendation more important.

But were you having problems posting comments? This is the first I’ve heard of it. If I’ve got an anti-spam setting cranked up too aggressively, I need to figure out which one it is.
