This blog has been quiet for a while, but I wanted to assure folks that it hasn’t gone away. Scott and I have both had to take time away from Nifty Tech to pursue other projects. We had set a pretty steady pace, but with all the demands on our time we weren’t able to sustain it. But the Nifty Tech Blog isn’t quite dead yet. We are in the process of gearing up again, and you will have an opportunity to contribute to the success of the blog.

We will have at least one new review coming up in the next month, but we probably won’t be able to get back to the every-other-week pace we had been sustaining. We do have some guest reviews lined up, and we are very much looking forward to bringing those to you as soon as we can get the edits all stowed away.

We are also looking into more opportunities to bring you more guest reviews and guest editorials. And this is where you come in. If you have a favorite product that you haven’t seen reviewed on the Nifty Tech Blog, or an innovative way of using a product, we’d like to hear from you! Are you willing to write a guest review? Then we really want to hear from you!

We’re also moving from posting reviews on Mondays to publishing them on Tuesdays under the #TechTuesday hashtag. We hope you’ll follow this hashtag and promote it to others.

And it doesn’t have to be a review. We are also looking for new articles for the #FollowFriday series. There are lots of interesting people out there on Twitter. Help us find them!

If you’ve previously contacted us about doing a review, expect to hear back from us soon. We have some old correspondence that has gotten sidetracked that we will be pulling out and dealing with at last.

If you would like to help support the blog, but don’t have any reviews to suggest, there are a couple ways you can help. The Nifty Tech Blog is a reader supported site. We don’t have a sponsor, and we can’t really do advertising without creating a conflict of interest. That means all the costs for the hosting and the tech we review comes out of our pockets. If you could spare as little as five dollars and drop it into the tip jar at the top of the sidebar, that would go a long way towards defraying the costs associated with keeping the blog going.

But, if you can’t afford to spare a few dollars, you can still help. Recommend the site to your friends, link to the reviews that have helped you the most. Or just send us your comments and feedback.
