I always feel a bit funny recommending a “famous” persona to my fellow tweeters. I figure, “Hey, if I’m following them and they have a bunch of followers then they must be following them too.” I don’t want this guy to be overlooked though. I’ve been following Chuck for a while now and reading his blog and I find them both absolutely hilarious. Now it should be noted that Chuck himself says that his tweets are Not Safe For Work (and NSFL, which I presume means not safe for life) and that may well be true. His language in both venues is saltier than a cow lick, but if that doesn’t bother you, then by all means give him a follow.
Like most celebrities, although I think he’s just “internet famous”, he won’t likely follow you back, but if you @ him you’re likely to get a reply. I follow him mostly for his spot on advice on writing, the jokes, and links to his blogs. While I am subscribed to it, I often find that a well placed tweet will get me to actually visit and comment. There’s probably a nugget of wisdom in that for bloggers out there. I’m sure I’m not the only one whose Twitter client serves double duty as an RSS supplement.
I hope you find him as funny as I do, but don’t blame me if his tweets melt your screen. You have been warned! When you read this I will likely still be recovering from Balticon, but Doc and I have plenty of content queued up and ready to rock, so check in with us next week!
