There is just something about a woman with her sword in her hand, especially when she knows how to use it. That certain air of danger that lends an extra allure. Enter @VG_Ford, fencer, writer, and scourge of the high seas! Oh, and she writes, too! Val has published two books with Dragon Moon Press: Not your Father’s Horseman, and Dark Moon Seasons. She also writes a variety of short fiction for different venues, and podcasts. You can get some idea of what she does on her blog, http://vg-ford.com/.

While @VG_Ford has the same kind of life ups and downs as everyone else, she is at heart a wonderfully upbeat person. It almost always brightens my day to see her on Twitter and to interact with her. She has an excellent sense of humor and a delightful sense of play. If you don’t already know her, I’d recommend you take the time to introduce yourself to her on Twitter. Just be willing to deal with a little light pillaging. 😀

I still owe everyone a wrap up for the last poll, and for the fundraiser. The short version of it is that we managed to raise enough funds that I was able to make up the difference in the hosting costs. You could say that the last donation came from me. We have secured a new host and we are in the process of transferring the blog over, and that is taking up a lot of time. Most of the data has been moved over, but there have been some difficulties hammering the site template into place. We hope to roll out the new site in February, but we’re pretty sure it won’t happen before Nifty Tech Blog’s one year anniversary on February 1. In the mean time, we’re still working on bringing you new content on schedule. Scott will be back next week with a Follow Friday pick, and on the 31st with a new review. We’ll see you then!
